Masechaba specialises in the areas of Sustainability and Social Investments Strategies and Impact Measurement. She is a SROI specialist having completed projects in mining, FMCG and for development trusts across focus areas including education, skills development and enterprise development. She is recognised in the renewable energy industry as one of the leading minds in the area of economic development, with experience in community development strategy formulation, programme implementation and management, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Masechaba’s career spans Renewable Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability, Energy Regulation and Banking. She has led renewable industry initiatives and forums on Socioeconomic and Enterprise Development issues, including as Chair of the wind and solar industry associations’ SED Working Groups.
Partner
Methuli Mbanjwa is a multi-disciplinary professional with 17 years’ experience in industrial consulting, technology management, large scale commercial project development, project management, infrastructure financing and stakeholder engagement.
He has solid experience in assessing and evaluating economic development projects and community-focused initiatives, particularly around infrastructure investments. He has worked in renewable energy project development responsible for, amongst others, land rights, permitting authority approvals and stakeholder engagement.
Methuli continually advocates for business practices that advance social sustainability and foster shared value strategies.
Senior Consultant
Samke is an experienced programme manager with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit sector. She has research experience in conservation, ecological sciences and Community Based Natural Resource Management with a keen focus on stakeholder engagement. Within this space she has facilitated several protected areas and community led conservation initiatives.
She is currently doing her MPhil in Sustainable Development at Stellenbosch University's School of Public Leadership, with focus on renewable energy, governance and sustainable enterprise.
Her interests involve building business cases for natural resource management such as through the biodiversity economy
Associate Partner
Reinoud is a highly experience SROI expert, being the first SROI practitioner in South Africa (2010) and the current Managing Director of BeholdSA. Under BeholdSA, he has undertaken and led a number of SROI, CSI, and social value creation assignment across different industries in South Africa and abroad for clients including SASOL, Alexander Forbes, Enke, GreenSource and Adopt-a-school Foundation.
Reinoud holds and MSc in Business Administration, with specialisation in Corporate Social Responsibility from the Erasmus University Rotterdam(Netherlands). His career spun from brand management to CSR for European and South African companies.
Over the years he has built solid competencies in Monitoring and Evaluation, behavioural change assessments, impact measurement and research. He is the inaugural and current Chairman of the local network.
Associate Consultant
Katlego is development professional with skills in facilitation and data management. She has been exposed to impact measurement work at BeholdSA, and currently involved in SROI assignment for a mining client.
Kat holds a BA Hons in Development Studies from Nelson Mandela University, and currently enrolled for her Masters.
She is a proactive, continuous learner with interests in public speaking, coaching and professional team building.
Associate Consultant
Thulisile is a trained and experienced consultant on SROI, and has worked on the various assignment including Sibanye Still Water, Enke: Make your mark, GreenSource and Distell Foundation.
Thuli holds a Bachelor of Social Science – Psychology and Sociology from Rhodes University and also education training.
She has solid project administration and project management experience, supported by her passion for development work.
